Marriage proposal stunt goes sideways with rescue, drug bust

In Morro Bay, California, Michael Banks has a genius idea -- or at least he thinks so. He's going to climb a giant rock face and propose live on his cellphone to his girlfriend.

Unfortunately for Banks, he got stuck on his way down the 600-foot landmark and had to be airlifted off the mountain.

Adding insult to injury, once Banks was on level ground, he was arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine possession.

Banks says he was not using illegal drugs, but rather medication for post-traumatic stress disorder.

As for the proposal, he says she said yes.
