BROOKLAWN, N.J. (TCD) -- The investigation into the deaths of a mother and her daughter over the weekend has uncovered what police are now saying was likely a murder-suicide.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, on Saturday, Oct. 14, shortly after 1 p.m., Brooklawn Police officers were called to the Rodeway Inn at 801 Crescent Blvd. in reference to a deceased woman. Inside one of the rooms, police found two deceased victims: 38-year-old Dawn Ogburn and 63-year-old Deann Ogburn.
Police believe Dawn Ogburn fatally stabbed her mother, Deann Ogburn, and then hanged herself.
Prosecutors have not released a possible motive. The investigation is ongoing.
