California man accused of raping and impregnating 12-year-old girl

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. (TCD) -- Deputies arrested a 30-year-old man last week on suspicion of sex crimes against a 12-year-old child.
According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office, officials obtained an $8 million arrest warrant against Antonio Arbaca-Callejas, alleging he raped and impregnated the victim. He reportedly fled the country after the initial investigation was launched.
The Sheriff's Office said authorities worked with the victim's family throughout the investigation.
Officials located Arbaca-Callejas, and he was taken into custody.
According to records, Arbaca-Callejas was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on Thursday, June 1, on multiple charges, including felony child rape, lewd or lascivious acts of a child under 14, special allegations sex crimes, continuous sexual abuse of a child, and oral copulation of a victim under 10. He remains held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 16.
