Ohio man sentenced for raping, kidnapping 12-year-old stepsister

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio (TCD) -- A 24-year-old man was recently sentenced to over three decades in prison for raping and kidnapping his 12-year-old stepsister.
The North Royalton Police Department issued and subsequently canceled an Amber Alert after the missing victim was located on Tuesday, April 5, at approximately 11:30 p.m. The victim’s stepbrother, Micey Stiver, was reportedly found with the juvenile and was taken into custody.
The girl was transported to a hospital for medical evaluation, police said.
According to WOIO-TV, Stiver, who was also the victim’s boyfriend, was driving a stolen vehicle that belonged to a relative.
Several months after his arrest, in September, Stiver pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including rape, pandering obscenity involving a minor, kidnapping, interference of custody, domestic violence, endangering children, and grand theft, WJW-TV reports.
On Tuesday, Nov. 1, he was reportedly sentenced to 35 to 40 years in prison.
