GAINESVILLE, Ga. (TCD) -- A 28-year-old woman was arrested and charged after allegedly attacking her ex-boyfriend with a meat cleaver during a dispute.
According to WAGA-TV, on Sunday, Oct. 2, Cristal Hernandez and her ex got into an argument in her garage. She reportedly started to attack him with the cleaver, causing serious injuries to his arm. Authorities do not know what caused the dispute.
After the alleged attack, the 31-year-old victim drove himself to a shopping center parking lot and contacted a family member, and law enforcement was contacted, the Gainesville Times reports.
Hall County Fire Rescue reportedly transported the victim to the hospital for treatment. The victim is expected to be okay.
Deputies located Hernandez at her home and she was interviewed, according to the Gainesville Times.
Hernandez was arrested on Monday, Oct. 3, for aggravated assault, records show. Her bond was set at $27,700. She is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 17.
