Two accused of fatally shooting 16-year-old Texas girl

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Texas (TCD) -- Two people have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old female.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, on Sunday, March 27, at approximately 5 p.m., deputies responded to the 14000 block of Kolb's Corner to a report of a possible murder. At the scene, authorities reportedly found the body of 16-year-old Katelynn Nicole Stone of Vidor, Texas.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Stone's body was brought to the Jefferson County Morgue for an autopsy. The victim reportedly died from an apparent gunshot wound.
The Sheriff's Office arrested 22-year-old Cody Arnold at the home where Stone was found. He was reportedly charged with murder and booked into the Jefferson County Correction Facility with bond set at $1 million.
According to the Sheriff's Office, four days later, on Thursday, March 31, authorities arrested a second person: 24-year-old Chelsea Ann-Marie Ship. She was reportedly charged with murder and booked into the Jefferson County Correction Facility on $1 million bond.
