At the scene, authorities reportedly learned that a vehicle struck a female pedestrian and fled the scene. The Sheriff’s Office says lifesaving measures were attempted on the female victim at the scene and en route to the hospital, as she had no pulse and was not breathing. According to the Sheriff’s Office, "Upon arrival to the hospital, the female was declared deceased."
After further investigation, the Sheriff’s Office says detectives learned that the female victim had gotten into a verbal argument with her boyfriend and suspect, Brandon Lewis St. Ours. The argument allegedly took place at a home in the 4700 block of North Casey Lane. According to the Sheriff’s Office, St. Ours and his girlfriend were asked to leave the residence because of their dispute.
As the two left the home, the female victim reportedly refused to get into St. Ours’ car and walked away. According to the Sheriff’s Office, St. Ours drove around trying to locate his girlfriend, and eventually hit her with his car not too far from the home. St. Ours allegedly fled the scene. In an attempt to conceal the vehicle, he reportedly parked the car at another location.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, St. Ours was interviewed and arrested. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail and charged with manslaughter by domestic violence and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. St. Ours’ car was reportedly found and towed.
