Arizona man accused of fatally shooting teenage son

MESA, Ariz. (TCD) -- A 61-year-old man was arrested for reportedly shooting his 19-year-old son to death on Sunday, Dec. 19.
According to a news release from the Mesa Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of East Jerome around 12:30 p.m. after Jeffrey Williams called 911 and said he had shot his son, Adam Williams.
Jeffrey reportedly surrendered to police upon their arrival. According to police, a witness inside the home confirmed that Jeffrey shot his son and told them that Adam "could be found lying in his own bed." Adam was located and transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Jeffrey was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
