When police arrived, officers reportedly spoke with Market Basket employees and learned Stephanie MacDonald allegedly walked out of the store without paying for a bottle of wine.
A Market Basket employee reportedly confronted MacDonald about not paying for the wine, Hooksett Police said. MacDonald then allegedly hit the employee with the bottle, and the two got into an altercation.
MacDonald, who lives in Somersworth, New Hampshire, reportedly admitted to taking the wine. According to Hooksett Police, MacDonald was charged with robbery; willful concealment; obstructing government administration; assault; and criminal threatening.
Stephanie MacDonald was booked into the Merrimack County House of Corrections.
