A man who pleaded guilty to fatally shooting five of his family members in April 2020 was sentenced to 205 years in prison, plus 105 years of extended supervision on Tuesday, July 27.
According to WITI-TV, Christopher Stokes, 44, pleaded guilty to five counts of homicide and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon in June.
At sentencing, Stokes said, "I deserve to be locked up. I deserve everything I get. I’m not asking for no leniency or anything like that. I deserve it. No one in the world should have done what I did," WITI reports.
Stokes reportedly said the gun was "still upstairs with the bodies" and he was sitting outside. According to the criminal complaint, in his second call Stokes reportedly admitted again. that he "just killed my whole family" and did it "with my Mossberg." Responding detectives reportedly found the gun and shotgun shells in the house.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Stokes spared his 3-year-old grandchild. The grandson reportedly asked Stokes not to hurt him, so Stokes spared him.
