The incident took place on May 5 at around 5 p.m. inside an Avenue of the Americas candy shop in Greenwich Village. An unidentified man enters the location through a secured front door. He removes $1,500 and store merchandise before fleeing in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
