UPDATE July 12, 2019:
Judge Sherry Stephens opted to sentence Brittany Ann Zamora Friday to 20 years in prison instead of the 27 years prosecutors had asked for under a plea agreement. Zamora will also be on lifetime probation upon her release and have to register as a sex offender, KNXV reports.
UPDATE June 12, 2019:
Brittany Zamora, a former teacher in Goodyear, pled guilty to charges of sexual misconduct with one of her students on Monday, KNXV reports.
Zamora pleaded guilty to sexual conduct with a minor, molestation of a child and public sexual indecency, according to online court records, People reports. She was initially charged with two counts of molestation of a child, one count of furnishing harmful material and nine counts of sexual conduct with a minor. Under the plea agreement, she could spend up to 27 years in prison.
In one exchange, the boy texted Zamora, saying that he wanted to have sex with her. “I know baby!” she responded, according to court records. “I want you every day with no time limit.” In another exchange, she texted him that “If I could quit my job and [have sex with] you all day long, I would.”

GOODYEAR, Ariz. (KNXV) -- Police are investigating an alleged sexual misconduct incident at Las Brisas Academy in Goodyear.
Goodyear police said the relationship was reported on Wednesday night.
The allegations were first reported to the principal, by the parent of the victim, who found text message conversations between 27-year-old Brittany Zamora and her 13-year-old male student.
The text conversation indicated there were sexual activities happening between the two, on and off campus.
Zamora was taken into custody by Goodyear police on Thursday morning without incident. Police say her charges include molestation of a child, furnishing harmful material and sexual conduct with a minor.
