Woman, newborn son killed by suspected drunk driver

HOUSTON -- (KABB) -- A 20-year-old Houston woman was arrested and charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter following a car crash that killed a woman and her newborn baby.
Houston media outlet KTRK reports that Veronica Rivas, 20, slammed her SUV into the back of a car being driven by Shayla Joseph, 36.
The crash killed Joseph and her 3-month-old son Braylan Jabari Joseph.
Joseph's husband said he believed his wife was out getting breakfast for the family.
