Oklahoma substitute teacher arrested for making lewd proposals to a minor

BIXBY, Okla. -- (KFOR) -- An Oklahoma substitute teacher has been arrested after being accused of making a lewd proposal to a minor.

Police say it all started when the principal at Bixby High School received several calls about a substitute teacher having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

At that point, the principal called the Department of Human Services to investigate the claims.

The school resource officer was able to interview the victim, who allegedly said that he met 22-year-old Anna Ruth Lewis when she was a substitute teacher for his class. The student told the resource officer that Lewis sent him a message on Instagram about changing the oil in her car. He claimed that they talked about her car before she sent him several nude photos.

Authorities with the Bixby Police Department spoke with Lewis, who said that she had been drinking almost every night because she was going through a rough time.

According to FOX 23, Lewis said that the victim sent her an explicit photo and she sent him a fully clothed photo. However, she said that she didn't know what she sent him when she was drunk.
