GRANTVILLE, Pa. -- (KABB) -- Police investigating a complaint alleging drugs were being used in the presence of a child at a Grantville home led to charges of endangering the welfare of a child for two adults, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Investigators say Elliot let them into the home on the 300 block of Waco Drive in Hanover and told them the child was in a bedroom.
Once they entered the home, they found the floors covered in garbage and animal feces with broken light fixtures and other hazards in the walls of the home.
According to court documents, once they entered the bedroom, they saw the toddler sitting next to a decrepit armchair and a tattered, filthy mattress. The officer described the child as 'pantsless and dirty.' Court documents go on to state the officer carried the child from the home and wrapped him in a blanket. While removing him from the home, the child allegedly said 'hungry' and pointed to his mouth, according to the officer.
