Memphis man reportedly caught with meth pipe masturbating outside Arkansas McDonald’s

JONESBORO, Ark. (TCD) -- A 39-year-old man from Memphis was reportedly found with meth masturbating outside a McDonald’s over the weekend.

According to KAIT-TV, Jonesboro Sgt. Susan Gray responded to a report from the restaurant’s manager on Sunday, Nov. 21, requesting a jumpstart for a van’s dead battery.

According to the affidavit obtained by KAIT, the officer saw another white van in the parking lot and went over to it. When she got to the car, she reportedly "observed a male subject, Daniel Jewell, sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle with one foot on the dash and the other foot propped up on the passenger seat, naked from the waist down and masturbating."

Jewell was arrested on the scene.

Upon further investigation, KAIT reports police found a meth pipe inside Jewell’s pants and 26 grams of methamphetamine portioned into 14 baggies along with a digital scale in the van.

According to KAIT, Craighead County District Judge David Boling charged Jewell with possession of meth/cocaine with the purpose to deliver greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and sexual indecency.

Jewell remains held in Craighead County Detention Center on $75,000 bond, according to jail records. He is scheduled to appear for arraignment on Dec. 29.

Police reportedly jumpstarted the van and got it back on the road for the people who actually needed it.
