National support grows for teen accused of killing allegedly abusive father

WARREN, Ohio -- (WJW) -- Dozens of organizations across the country are holding events this week to bring attention to the case of Bresha Meadows and to ask prosecutors to release the young girl.
An online campaign on Twitter is also growing in popularity as many are demanding the release of a teenager accused of killing her father, using the hashtag #FreeBreshaMeadows.
The Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative says 15-year-old Bresha Meadows is a child survivor of domestic violence who they believe was defending herself, and her family, from her abusive father.
