Escaped Georgia inmates captured in Rutherford County

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. -- (WGCL/WSMV) --Two escaped Georgia inmates have been captured in Rutherford County, according to the U.S. Marshal's office.
Donnie Rowe, 43, and Ricky DuBose, 24, are alleged to have shot and killed two correctional officers in Georgia while they were being transferred to another facility by transport bus.
Earlier Thursday, it is believed that Rowe and DuBose tied up a couple on Kingree Road in Shelbyville and stole a black Jeep and guns. Rowe is from Lewisburg, Tenn.
Police officials stopped a car they believed to be Rowe and DuBose on Interstate 24 near the Epps Mill Road exit.
The escaped inmates left the car and fled on foot in the area.
Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal said in a tweet they were captured after a car chase.
They have been on the run since early Tuesday morning when they allegedly shot and killed two corrections officers in Georgia while they were being transferred to another facility by transport bus.
