West Virginia man sentenced for making young boy eat dog feces and drink urine

PRINCETON, W.Va (TCD) -- A 24-year-old man was handed a prison sentence this week after pleading guilty assault charges.

According to the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Dakota Scott Dillow pleaded guilty in December to conspiracy, malicious assault., and third-degree sexual assault. He had previously been indicted on other charges that included first-degree sexual assault, sexual abuse by a parent/guardian/custodian, and gross child neglect.

The West Virginia State Police were reportedly contacted by the Wyoming County Department of Health and Human Services in June 2019 regarding a case of child neglect, according to the Bluefield Daily Telegraph. Court documents cited by the paper say the juvenile was living with Kristy Asbury at the time, who was Dillow's girlfriend. He reportedly told officials that he was watching a Harry Potter movie with Dillow one day, and Dillow "was not paying attention to the movie."

The juvenile reportedly called Dillow out for not watching, and Dillow allegedly "made him eat dog feces." Asbury was reportedly not home when this occurred. Dillow also reportedly made the boy drink urine at another location in Virginia.

Court documents cited by the Bluefield Daily Telegraph say the boy "stated numerous times that he was scared of Dillow." Dillow reportedly hit the boy on the back of the head with a metal toy gun, which caused a scar.

Dillow also reportedly hit the boy when he got upset. The Bluefield Daily Telegraph reports Dillow sexually assaulted the boy multiple times.

WVNS-TV reports Asbury was sentenced to one to three years in February for her role in the abuse. According to the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Dillow will serve four to 20 years in prison.
