Florida man arrested for child porn is accused of buying, eating dirty underwear

LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) -- A Polk County man has been arrested for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography. According to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, investigators learned Jose Araiza, 58, purchased and ate soiled underwear.
“He was buying these things and ingesting them, did you hear me?” Judd said. “He was munching on them. This guy has a problem.”
The Ledger newspaper reports Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested Jose Araiza around 4:26 p.m. after investigating a National Center for Missing & Exploited Children cybertipline report received in August concerning Araiza's email address. The report noted numerous child porn video and image files of pre-pubescent children were sent to his email.
Detectives say he told them he had used eBay to communicate with sellers who were selling both adult and children's underwear, then sent images of nude pre-pubescent children to them, according to his arrest affidavit.
He faces $1,000 bond for a tampering with physical evidence charge, a third-degree felony, and is being held on no bond for 16 child porn charges, which are second-degree felonies.
