'Alcatraz in the East River': Calls to shut down Rikers Island

It's not a title you ever want to earn: the worst place in America. But that's exactly what Rikers Island in New York City is being called today.
And the situation is reportedly so dangerous inside the prison for inmates and officers that some are saying it needs to be shut down for good.
