Teacher arrested after school employee reportedly found hidden recording devices in restroom

IRVINE, Calif. (TCD) -- A 37-year-old high school teacher was arrested this week after a maintenance worker reportedly found hidden recording devices inside a restroom.
Irvine Police said the contracted maintenance worker at Beckman High School discovered the devices in "the all-gender restroom located near the pool."
The contracted maintenance employee reportedly turned over the recording devices to school staff, who then contacted police. According to police, several victims had been recorded while in the restroom.
Upon further investigation, police determined a teacher at the school, Siu Kong Sit, allegedly placed the recording devices in the restroom. He was arrested on Monday, Feb. 27, and booked into the Orange County Jail for possession of child pornography, burglary, and two misdemeanor charges.
Police are searching for additional victims related to the incident.
As of Tuesday, Feb. 28, the Beckman High School website lists Sit as a math teacher.
