Oklahoma grandma arrested after 3-year-old girl found dead in trash can

OKLAHOMA CITY (TCD) -- A 61-year-old woman was arrested after her 3-year-old granddaughter was found dead this week.
According to Oklahoma City Police, on Tuesday, June 21, at 2:22 p.m., police responded to a call at 617 SW 151st St. and were informed there was a deceased child inside the home. When they went inside, police located a 3-year-old girl’s body inside a "residential trash receptacle" and noted she had obvious signs of trauma.
The little girl, who Oklahoma Police identified as Riley Nolan, was in the custody of her grandmother, Becky Vreeland. Vreeland was transported to Oklahoma City Police headquarters and then arrested.
Cleveland County Jail records show she is being held without bond on charges of child neglect and first-degree murder.
