Eight people were arrested after a man and his girlfriend were allegedly blindfolded, kidnapped and shot while at an acquaintance’s house in North Carolina. The group allegedly “assaulted him and his girlfriend and proceed to bound them and place a blindfold on them.” The youngest suspect is 20 and the oldest 50.
An Alabama woman was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole Wednesday after admitting she helped her husband kill his new wife and her family. The plea deal reportedly spared her the death penalty. Her husband was sentenced to death this month.
A 15-year-old Texas boy reported his little brother had been dead for a year, and that his parents had not lived with them for months. The teen and two other boys, 10 and 7, were malnourished, with physical injuries. Deputies found the skeletal remains of an 8-year-old boy in the residence.
Dwight Grant reportedly had a physical relationship with a suspect’s ex-girlfriend. The suspect allegedly texted his current girlfriend, who is also a suspect: “Murder will happen soon.” Grant’s body was discovered in bushes near his apartment last week.
Sheriff’s deputies in Louisiana responded to a report of “a subject living in the attic” when a woman called authorities after a man dropped “from the attic area into her apartment.” It’s reportedly the suspect’s 21st arrest.
