EL PASO, Texas (TCD) -- Police have arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of killing a missing 32-year-old woman.
According to the El Paso Police Department, Michelle Morales-Nakaza was last seen on the evening of March 27 at the Baskin-Robbins on Edgemere Boulevard. Police believe a Hispanic male picked her up in a white 2005 to 2010 Toyota Camry because she does not drive.
She was reported missing March 31, and that day, investigators found a body in the Red Sands area of El Paso on the 15000 block of Snoqualmie Drive. Police said they determined the body was that of Morales-Nakaza.
On April 10, officials from the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested 35-year-old Christopher Paul Maya in a Walmart parking lot. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on suspicion of murder. His bond is set at $1 million.
The investigation is ongoing.
