SLIDELL, La. (TCD) -- A 19-year-old man is in custody after a video of him holding an AR-style rifle and referring to himself as a school shooter reportedly surfaced online.
According to a news release from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, officials were first made aware of the video Monday, April 10, which reportedly shows Landon Woodside holding the rifle with the words, "next school shooter in the making."
The Sheriff's Office said Woodside eventually admitted to creating the video and said he was "just joking."
Woodside was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail for terrorizing, and his bond was set at $25,000.
In a statement, Sheriff Randy Smith said, "Making a threat, even in a joking or casual manner, whether in person or on social media, will not be tolerated."
Smith continued, "Each of these situations must be considered potential threats and have to be taken very seriously."
The video was posted the same day a gunman in Louisville, Kentucky, killed several people inside a bank and less than a month after six people, including three children, were fatally shot at a private school in Nashville.
