Fla. man arrested for allegedly stabbing person with a pitchfork

LAKE CITY, Fla. (TCD) -- Police have apprehended a man wanted on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder for allegedly stabbing someone with a pitchfork during an argument.
According to Lake City Police, on March 20 at 8:25 a.m., officers went to Northwest Palm Drive regarding a person stabbed with a pitchfork and located a 49-year-old victim suffering from wounds to the head and neck. EMS arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a trauma unit at a local hospital.
Witnesses reportedly identified the suspect as Ryan Paul McCartney. McCartney had allegedly become "upset and threw a pitchfork at the victim after a verbal altercation."
McCartney fled the scene on foot, and police obtained a warrant for his arrest on a charge of attempted second-degree murder.
Lake City Police announced McCartney was located March 23 and taken into custody.
Court records show McCartney is being held in the Columbia County Jail on $200,000 bond.
