LIVE OAK, Texas (TCD) -- Two people were arrested and face felony charges two months after a man was killed and later found tied up, beaten, and shot behind a vacant apartment building.
Court records show Justin Hunt was arrested and charged Thursday, Jan. 26, with murder in the death of Matthew Pacheco-McKinney. A suspected accomplice, Noel Desselle, was also taken into custody on a charge of concealing a human corpse.
According to KSAT-TV, police found Pacheco-McKinney’s body behind the empty apartment complex Dec. 7 on the 10800 block of O’Connor Road. He had reportedly been covered up with a blanket and curtain and had a rope tied around the middle of his body. A trash bag allegedly enveloped his right foot.
In November, investigators reportedly located a vehicle with latex gloves and trash bags inside of it, and evidence from both crime scenes reportedly linked the two.
KSAT reports an informant told investigators Pacheco-McKinney got into an altercation with two people inside a home on Montgomery Drive in Live Oak, which matches Hunt’s address. During the fight, Hunt allegedly shot Pacheco-McKinney.
One of the other suspects, David Castleberry, and Desselle allegedly put Pacheco-McKinney’s body in a trash can and got rid of the body at an "unknown location," KSAT reports. Castleberry reportedly showed detectives where he and Desselle left the body.
According to KSAT, Castleberry Clarissa Guillen were arrested in Atascosa County in early January for allegedly killing 25-year-old Lucio Carmona and leaving his body on the side of the road. They were both arrested and charged with murder.
KABB reports that Guillen told investigators Castleberry allegedly revealed he and Hunt "killed a white girl for $20,000 and buried her in Hunt’s backyard."
