According to The Associated Press, Pennsylvania State Police troopers took Kohberger into custody at his parents' house, and he appeared in court Tuesday for his extradition hearing. He will reportedly return to Idaho within 10 days, which was ordered by the court.
LaBar added, "This is certainly completely out of character, the allegations, and really they’re just trying to be supportive with the understanding these four families have suffered loss, so they’re sympathetic towards that, and that’s why it should remain really private and they don’t want to try this case in the court of public opinion."
The attorney also said Kohberger "believes he’s going to be exonerated."
Police are still investigating the motive behind the killings of the four students.
