The child reportedly said Richardson pulled her out of classes and took her to a bathroom, where he allegedly assaulted her.
In a report obtained by KLAS, the child said, "He started touching me, and then he keeps touching me and touching every single time."
The child reportedly told police she was pulled into the restroom against her will. During an interview with police, the victim also told authorities she believed Richardson had done the same to another student.
According to KLAS, the Southern Nevada Children’s Advocacy Center interviewed the victim, and she was medically examined for biological evidence.
Richardson was reportedly interviewed and denied the allegations. He agreed to provide his DNA and undergo a polygraph but later refused to do so. DNA was collected via swabs from the suspect’s hands and fingers, KLAS reports.
Surveillance video footage from the Clark County School District was reportedly reviewed. Although police did not see Richardson bring any students into the restroom, they did witness him hugging numerous children and holding hands with students as well, according to KLAS.
Police said Richardson was arrested on Nov. 6 and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for sexual assault against a child less than 14 and kidnapping of a minor. In their news release, police asked anyone who may have been a victim of Richardson to come forward.
