Memphis mom accused of driving daughter, 2 14-year-olds around and robbing people

MEMPHIS (TCD) -- A 41-year-old woman and three other people were taken into custody for allegedly robbing several people at gunpoint and shooting one person.
According to the Memphis Police Department, on Aug. 7 at 2 p.m., a male victim was at a laundromat on Morlye Street when a male and female entered the establishment. The male and female allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and demanded his money. The female reportedly shot him in his left arm, and they fled in a gray sedan with the victim’s phone.
Two days later, on Aug. 9 at 5:50 p.m., Memphis Police responded to a robbery call on Rhodes Avenue. The victim reportedly told police a black sedan drove by him twice, then a female and male got out of the car. The female allegedly pointed a gun at him and the male demanded money. The suspects left with his phone and wallet.
On Aug. 10 at 5:25 p.m., a man was walking home on Getwell Road when two males allegedly approached him. One of the men had a gun and reportedly demanded the victim’s property. The victim reportedly ran towards a gas station and called for help.
Three minutes later, at 5:28 p.m., Memphis Police received a call about a robbery on Maxine Street. A man was reportedly in his driveway when two males demanded his phone and wallet. The victim reportedly told police the suspects fled in a black Hyundai sedan. Police reportedly learned the two males jumped into a nearby canal. Mount Moriah officers attempted to stop the Hyundai, but the car went into the highway and crashed into a pickup truck. Other officers reportedly apprehended the two males, both juveniles, who went into the canal.
Memphis Police identified two of the four suspects because the other two are underage. The alleged driver, 19-year-old Abrianna Taylor, was charged with especially aggravated robbery, providing a handgun to a juvenile, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and other charges.
Abrianna’s mother, Lashuna Taylor, was arrested for attempted aggravated robbery, aggravated robbery, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, child abuse and neglect or endangerment, and driving while license suspended/canceled/revoked.
One of the 14-year-old suspects was charged with attempted robbery, aggravated robbery, possession of a handgun by juvenile, evading arrest on foot, and especially aggravated robbery. The other 14-year-old was charged with attempted robbery, aggravated robbery, possession of a handgun by a juvenile, and evading arrest on foot.
According to the affidavit cited by WMC-TV, Abrianna Taylor allegedly told officers she shot the man in the laundromat and gave one of the 14-year-olds a gun.
Lashuna and Abrianna Taylor’s relationship to the two 14-year-olds was not immediately clear.
Shelby County Jail records show Lashuna’s bond was set at $100,000 and Abrianna’s at $150,000.
