Detectives reportedly then went to Chad Jennings and Katherine Penner's residence at 1322 Timmons and described the location as the "crime scene." Penner and Jennings were booked into custody July 27 at 5:13 a.m.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said Jennings faces charges of first-degree murder, child abuse by injury, and conspiracy. Penner was taken into custody on charges of accessory to murder, child abuse by injury, and desecration of a human corpse.
According to the statement, the Medical Examiner's Office is working on identifying the victim and determining their cause of death.
It was not immediately clear what relation the child had to Jennings and Penner.
