On July 18, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced that former Weissport Chief of Police Brent Getz was sentenced to 16 to 32 years in prison and three years of consecutive probation. He’ll also have to register as a sex offender for life, Shapiro said.
On March 11, Getz was found guilty of rape of child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, and aggravated indecent assault of a child.
According to Shapiro, Getz’s co-defendant Wagner pleaded guilty to rape of child and sexual exploitation of children on Nov. 16, 2020. He was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison followed by probation and will have to register as a sex offender for life.
