Police say Gaylyn Morris was taken into custody. Upon further investigation, authorities reportedly concluded that Morris and Smith were involved in a domestic dispute.
Morris told a witness she tracked and followed Smith using Apple AirTag and GPS, the Indianapolis Star reports. Morris, who believed her boyfriend was cheating on her, allegedly followed Smith and found him at the bar with a woman.
Morris reportedly threatened to beat up the woman who was with Smith and swung a wine bottle toward her. According to the Indianapolis Star, Smith caught the bottle, and the three were asked to leave the bar. However, the woman with Smith reportedly stayed inside.
According to the probable cause affidavit obtained by the Indianapolis Star, Morris "pulled forward and clipped the victim (Smith), and he went down, at which time (Morris) then backed over him and then pulled forward and hit him for the third time."
Morris allegedly exited her car and walked toward the bar to confront the woman Smith was with, but that’s when officers arrived and detained Morris.
Police say the Marion County Prosecutor’s Officer will make the final charging decision for Morris. Records show she remains held in Marion County.
