COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (TCD) -- A 30-year-old mom was arrested after she allegedly slammed her young son’s head on the ground, causing his skull to fracture.
According to WXIX-TV, on April 12, a man called 911 to report that his wife, Aminata Cherif, hit their 1-year-old son "on the floor so hard." The criminal complaint cited by WKRC-TV says Cherif is accused of "striking [Cherif’s] one-year-old son’s head multiple times against an unknown surface."
Video footage from court shared by WXIX shows an attorney saying Cherif’s husband "stopped the defendant from further injuring the victim."
Cherif’s arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday, April 20, but she did not show up to court due to COVID-19.
Hamilton County Jail records show Cherif is being held on charges of endangering children and felonious assault. Her bond is set at $100,000.
