LAS VEGAS (TCD) -- A 28-year-old man was recently arrested after allegedly stabbing a 3-year-old girl 11 times.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, on Thursday, March 31, Alan Wilson allegedly stabbed the child seven times in the back, once in the armpit, once in the hand, and twice in the arm. After the stabbing, Wilson allegedly fled the scene. The victim reportedly endured artery damage, kidney injuries, and injuries to her spleen that required surgeries.
Family members allegedly tried to pull the knife away from Wilson, and he said, "I need to get the demons out of her. I need to save her."
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the victim’s grandfather — the suspect’s stepfather — made the 911 call. It was reportedly not made clear what Wilson’s relationship is to the victim.
According to KLAS-TV, authorities found Wilson outside of a business near Nellis and Charleston boulevards. Wilson was reportedly arrested and charged with attempted murder and battery with use of a deadly weapon.
