Getz and Gregory Wagner were arrested in March 2019 relating to the rape charges, according to the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office. The victim, who was 12 when she reported it, reportedly told a teacher in May 2012 that Wagner was assaulting her. An investigation launched and no charges were filed against him at the time.
In August 2018, a Franklin Township Police Department officer opened the case again and had the victim come in for an interview. She reportedly revealed that Getz assaulted her, too. Getz was chief of police in Weissport at the time of the allegations.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, "The victim revealed that, consistent with her prior disclosures and examinations, from age 4-11 she was orally, vaginally, and anally raped by Wagner."
She reportedly told investigators that "Getz would also join in these assaults." Wagner reportedly made the victim watch pornography with him that "depicted teenagers."
Wagner reportedly admitted to the abuse and said he and Getz would assault her together.
