Chief Investigator Nick Brown told WAFF-TV, "We had received some complaints about suspicious activity in the neighborhood where Zaremba lives. So fortunately for us, we have several law enforcement officers that live in the area, so they started doing some surveillance, and that’s when we caught a vehicle there from Huntsville."
Brown also told WAFF that no students were involved with the crime, and it was an isolated incident.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Zaremba was arrested on Friday, March 11, and charged with one count of solicitation of a prostitute and one count of engaging in prostitution. He was reportedly booked into the DeKalb County Detention Center and released on $100,000 bond.
According to WAFF, Zaremba was an anatomy teacher for Fort Payne City Schools and was placed on administrative leave following his arrest.
