4-year-old Alabama boy found dead with signs of child abuse; caregiver arrested

MOBILE, Ala. (TCD) -- A 53-year-old caregiver was arrested after a 4-year-old boy was found dead with signs of child abuse.
According to the Mobile Real-Time News, on Thursday, Feb. 3, at approximately 8:19 a.m., officers from the Mobile Police Department responded to a home on the 1800 block of Jacob Drive. At the scene, officers reportedly located an unresponsive 4-year-old boy.
According to WALA-TV, the boy was pronounced dead by Mobile Fire-Rescue crews. Police told WALA the victim was found with bruises on his body and other signs of child abuse. WALA reports police arrested the child’s caregiver, Yolanda Coale. She was reportedly charged with aggravated child abuse.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police did not release any further information.
