Alabama teen allegedly shot former Miss Mississippi’s husband in front of 2-year-old child

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (TCD) -- A 17-year-old male was arrested for allegedly shooting former Miss Mississippi Christine Kozlowski’s husband over the weekend.
According to WXXV-TV, on Saturday, Jan. 22, Thomas Hand Jr. was shot in the 3100 block of Texas Street. He was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.
WXXV reports that Hand’s and Kozlowski’s 2-year-old son was present at the time of the shooting.
Jeremiah Walker was reportedly arrested by Montgomery Police at the scene and charged with capital murder. According to the Montgomery Advertiser, Walker was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
Just days before he was killed, Hand posted on Instagram that he and his wife celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary.
In 2008, WXXV reports Kozlowski was crowned Miss Mississippi. She and Hand are reportedly expecting their second child in August.
