According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, the suspect has been charged with one count of terrorism causing death, four counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of assault with intent to murder, and 12 counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The suspect is scheduled for arraignment later today, and additional charges are expected.
The Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday that four victims remain hospitalized. Three have reportedly been treated and released.
A fourth victim died as a result of the shooting at Oxford High School, as announced by the Sheriff's Office Wednesday. The student was identified as 17-year-old Justin Shilling.
Upon further investigation, the Sheriff's Office said the suspect had "18 live rounds on his person when he was taken into custody. Three magazines were recovered at the scene. Thirty spent rounds were found at the scene."
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect, a student at the school who has not yet been named, was taken into custody within five minutes of the original 911 call. He reportedly did not offer any resistance when taken into custody.
The Sheriff’s Office released the names of the students who lost their lives in the shooting: 16-year-old Tate Myre, 14-year-old Hana St. Julian, and 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin.
