Garrett Meyer’s body was found in an oil tanker June 4 near Buckley, Illinois, according to KTVI. Two workers reportedly had trouble loading fuel into the tanker, and they discovered his remains when they went to investigate. He had reportedly been missing for about 10 days by that point.
According to his obituary, Meyer was found dead a week before his 30th birthday. He worked at the BP Gas Station in Nashville, Illinois, and loved video games and reading.
WCIA-TV reports Meyer’s autopsy showed he had "toxic levels of amphetamines and fentanyl" in his system. His blood alcohol level was reportedly at .181.
