Iowa man arrested for McDonald’s bomb threat over missing McNuggets dipping sauce 06/28/2021 3:31 pm PDT Comments Polk County ANKENY, Iowa (TCD) -- An Iowa man was arrested Saturday after allegedly calling in a bomb threat to a McDonald's restaurant because there was no McNuggets sauce included in his order. Ankeny Police Sgt. Corey Schneden told WHO-TV that Robert Golwitzer Jr. called the McDonald's at 2625 SW State Street and allegedly made the threats at about 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, June 26. Golwitzer allegedly said he was going to blow up the McDonald's and punch an employee, WHO reports. Police contacted Golwitzer via the phone number allegedly used to call in the threat to the restaurant, according to the criminal complaint WHO cites. Police said when they called him, Golwitzer admitted to making the threats, and said he later confirmed he made the threats during a police interview at the Ankeny Police station, WHO reports. Polk County Jail records show Golwitzer was charged with false report of an explosive or incendiary device, classified as a hate crime. He was released on bond Sunday.
