Investigators allege two women returned to a Port Charlotte home after a night of drinking at about 2 a.m. Sunday, May 9. A birthday party for a teenager had been taking place at the residence, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said one of the two women, identified as 43-year-old Jessica Good, was intoxicated and “continued to ‘hang out’ with the juveniles while allegedly making extremely inappropriate sexual comments and providing the 17-year-old victim with alcohol.”
A 12-year-old girl sleeping on a bean bag chair later woke up to noise in the room, the sheriff’s department said. The bean bag chair was approximately a foot away from a loveseat, where the unidentified 17-year-old and Jessica Good were allegedly “actively engaged in intercourse.”
The 17-year-old got up once to use the restroom, then returned to the loveseat, where “the sexual activity continued,” the sheriff’s office said. Good then allegedly gathered her clothing and belongings and left the residence.
The sheriff’s department did not identify the residents of the house.
On May 11, the day the incident was reported, sheriff’s detectives contacted Good outsider her workplace.
Jessica Good was arrested on May 12 and charged with two counts of child abuse and two counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Good was held at the Charlotte County Jail on a $150,000 bond, and has since been released.
WFLA-TV reports the 12-year-old girl said the boy whispered to her to help him, then got up and went to the bathroom and vomited, before returning to the sexual activity.
