ORLANDO, Fla. (TCD) --
A man from Louisiana was arrested in Orlando after refusing to receive a temperature check at Disney World, saying he spent too much money on the trip to be taken in.
The Orlando Sentinel reported Kelly Sills allegedly bypassed the temperature check stop at The Boathouse restaurant on February 13.
When confronted by Disney staff and the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Sills allegedly refused to go back to the tent or leave the area.
Sills, 47, reportedly changed his mind as deputies led him away in handcuffs.
“Will you take my temperature before you kick me out, please?” Sills asked as he was led away in handcuffs, the Sentinel reports, according to the deputies’ body camera footage.
"They’ll do that in jail," a deputy answered.
A deputy reportedly told the Baton Rouge, Louisiana man he was being arrested for trespassing. He responded, "I paid $15,000. You can’t trespass me for paying $15,000."
Sills told the Washington Post he would have "happily" obliged to a temperature check. He reportedly walked into the restaurant from the back and did not know his mistake. According to the Post, Sills also likened Disney security to the mafia and Nazis.
According to the Post, Sills was arrested on the first night of his five-day trip with his family. He paid for tickets to Disney World as well as Universal Studios, so the cost of hotels, airfare, and park access added up.
WKMG-TV reported a written trespass was issued against Sills for all Disney property.
