AKRON, Ohio (WJW) -- Akron police have announced an arrest and charges in the 1991 homicide of Rachael Johnson.

Johnson's body was dumped in the street on Weller Ave. in Akron 28 years ago and was found by a passerby.

Johnson, the mother of a 3-year-old girl, had been sexually assaulted, suffered blunt force trauma, was stabbed multiple times and was set on fire.

Investigators say she got a flat tire on her way home from a friend's house. Her body was found hours later.
