Detroit woman charged after biting off man's tongue during kiss, prosecutors say

DETROIT (WITI) -- A Detroit woman was arrested for aggravated assault after allegedly biting off an inch of a man's tongue on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office says Youlette Wedgeworth, 52, and the victim were consensually kissing when she bit off the tip of the man's tongue. She had reportedly asked him not to put his tongue in her mouth, according to WXYZ.

Responding officers found the man bleeding from his mouth, the prosecutor's office said. They recovered the man's tongue in his bedroom. He was hospitalized and Wedgeworth was taken into custody, the prosecutor's office said.

Wedgeworth was charged with aggravated assault, a misdemeanor.
