PD: Chandler man seeks sex with preteen to replace 13-year-old girlfriend

CHANDLER, Ariz. -- (KNXV) -- A Chandler man was arrested after seeking out a sexual relationship with a pre-teen girl to replace his 13-year-old girlfriend.

Chandler Police report that between September 11 and 14, Johnny McCants, 32, made contact with an undercover detective posing as a 12-year-old girl.

McCants reportedly expressed a desire to have sex with the girl, offering her $50. Police say McCants also talked about other sexual relationships with 16- and 13-year-old girls. He allegedly indicated that he wanted an ongoing sexual relationship with the 12-year-old.

He told the detective that, "he wanted a new girl since the 13-year-old moved out of state."

McCants agreed to meet with the "girl" at a location near Price Road and Chandler Boulevard on September 14, when he was arrested after paying $49 to have sex with the minor.
