2-year-old stabbed to death, mom critically injured in savage attack outside home

LOS ANGELES -- (KTLA) -- Police were searching Monday night for the assailant who fatally stabbed a 2-year-old girl and left her mother in critical condition at a home in South Los Angeles.
A call came in to police around 9:50 p.m. of stabbing victims inside a home in the 3500 block of Arlington Avenue, according to Sgt. Carlton Brown with the Los Angeles Police Department.
The toddler was pronounced dead at the hospital, Brown said.
