QUEENS, N.Y. -- (WPIX) -- A teenage exchange student from China was slashed in the face while walking to school Wednesday morning, according to police.
The 16-year-old girl was walking on 13th Ave. near 147th Street around 8:15 a.m., on her way to Whitestone Academy, when an unidentified man attacked her from behind – groping her before slashing the girl twice in the face with a box cutter, leaving a gash from her ear to her throat.
